Each Hatch Finatic reel features: STACKED DISC DRAG... The majority of the drags on the market today incorporate what we call
one to one surface contact. meaning that one surface (metal) is driven
or drawn toward another surface (cork, plastic, carbon fiber, graphite,
etc.). Hatch reels take a completely different approach by
incorporating a stacked disc drag. The discs are made up of a
combination of stainless steel and Rulon®, and positioned in a stacked
configuration. FRAME DIMENSION... By adding dimension to the frame, we create a backbone effect thereby increasing strength, durability, and the virtual elimination of lateral flex. MACHINE FINISH AND ANODIZE... We only polish surfaces that come in contact with the line. Then we apply a type II anodize for a durable finish that holds up in both fresh and salt water. MADE IN THE U.S.A.... We take great pride in how and where our reels are made. That's why all Hatch reels are made in our own manufacturing facility in Vista, California. ONE-PIECE MACHINE REEL SEAT... A solid is always stronger than two parts bound together. Also by eliminating the screws, there is no worry about corrosion or the reel foot loosening. Ever. SPOOL NUT... The spool nut on all of our reels is captured within the spool. Thereby eliminating the worry of losing any parts when removing the spool. MACHINE ALUMINUM CRANKS... Cranks incorporate an ergonomic design for better feel and increased size for a more positive grip. |
