The Snipe is designed and constructed around the architecture of the open-faced Kingfisher centrepin reel. The Snipe's frame and drum are partially machined by a computer numerical control machine. The completion of this fine reel is meticulously hand-crafted. The Snipe is made from solid bar stock 6061 aluminum, C360 hard brass and 316 stainless steel. The Snipe is provided with a tough durable finish. Going above industry standards, a special process has been used called "bronzing" with an anodizing method. The Snipe comes equipped with the best ABEC-5 double-shielded stainless ball bearings available. Requiring only a coin, it has been designed for easy spool removal in the field. As well, the bearings are easily accessible and require only minimal tools for replacement or servicing.
